Truth be told, I initially pirated Getting Over It, because I wanted to see if the controls were really as ridiculous as mentioned in countless YouTube videos, but I didn't intend on actually playing the game for more than 10 minutes.

But when I installed it, I realised how much I actually liked the game. It was challenging, but wasn't ridiculously fast-paced and didn't make you cram or stress. It was slow and relaxing, at least for me. After hours of learning all the ropes, I finally completed the game. Then I played it for the 2nd time, to find out how much I improved. Before I knew it, I was playing Getting Over It every chance I had. It was something to keep my hands busy with while listening to podcasts or music.

Hundreds of runs later, I realised that it would be a disservice to Bennett Foddy to not finally buy his game. I'm now back at square one - the black pot. Just completed the first run on my official copy of Getting Over It in about 7 minutes, and am stoked to get to 50 runs again and to reclaim my golden pot.

I am now realising that I might just be that certain kind of person that Bennett Foddy made this game for.

UPDATE: Just completed 50 runs again. Golden pot once more.
