I am new to PC gaming and figured the Steam Machine would be a good introduction. So far, I like it a lot. The track pads work great and I had no problem playing First-Person games like Soma and TF2. It works great and it definitely looks cool. I highly recommend to people who are new to PC gaming like myself.

LOL at all this salt. This is totally PC gaming. Do explain how it isn't, I'd love to know.

Don't mix things, this is NOT pc gaming, though it's better than a console.

I don't understand why anyone would want a steam machine instead of a real PC. This whole thing seems like a acam to me. Well, it's not my money. Most likely only idiots buy these anyway.

you cannot play any game on this piece of hardware, i would say that about 70-80% of the games on steam you cannot play on this, it is honestly trash if you want to have a wide variety of games

I honestly wouln't call this a consle or a pc it almost like a bit of both. It has the power and custimibility of a pc but the convince of a consle

I'm not going to say the're bad, but in my opinion the price to performance is what I would expect from Alienware, outdated hardware thats sold like its top of the line shit. You can build a computer that will blow this out of the water for the prices they are asking for. I do understand that not everyone knows how to build a PC but if my 5 year old brother can do it in an hour anyone can. On another note and I know this will change but there just are'nt enough SteamOS/Linux games that I like to play that are on this console (yes it's a console) so I don't think its worth the buy just yet. perhaps down the road it might be worth picking up but right now I don't see the reason to.

I've said my peace and am giving it a 5/10

So even though it might feel good on the controller, it feels even better with a keyboard and mouse.

Alienware Steam Machine is poor choice due to lack of library though. Better use Alienware Alpha because it's have windows preinstalled (better gaming library, superior performance compared Steam OS).
