Excels in its visual presentation and effects, having some pretty stunning environments, in both its use of colour and use of detail.
But that's really what the DLC mostly has to offer. The levels and flow of the game are much better than the base game imo, but it still is more of the same, which, if you are conflicted on the base game, you may aswell be conflicted on this aswell.

Roughly an hour to beat on hard.

A massive downgrade in terms of combat when compared to the original F.E.A.R. , no corner peeking despite enemies being able to peek is just bad design when confronting enemies.
The enemies themselves are at most kinda bland, but also really really tanky for some with no good reason, dragging on fights longer than they should, coupled with their weapons that will melt you.
The game also in this day and age can be incredibly unstable and buggy, barring from a seamless experience, especially towards the end.

However, there is a lot of good to this game. The horror visuals and effects are incredible, and really compliment what the first game did really well. The story also seamlessly takes place at the same time as the first game, which not only gives a sense of familiarity, but an idea of what is to come and expect.
Level design is also pretty cool, featuring much more detailed and varied environments, but still keeping the theme of the old game.
There is also a nice selecting of weapons, all having their own use and reason to be present in the given scenario.
Also the Powered Armour sections are fun as hell, love me mechs.

A very middling game to me, but I think majority will enjoy this title anyway.

Lovely little timeloop puzzle game. Love the fact that you have to be punctual on time for several key events otherwise you'll miss out and fail, adds that work stress lol.
Game is gorgeous with its visuals, however movement can be a little clunky and stubborn on some levels, either way, criminal that it's free.

Incredible short little game, the grapple mechanics and combat has to be some of the best I've played in any movement-centric game.

Adored the level design and atmosphere the game had, would love to see more of what they have got here in a longer game with cool environments!

Does what it says on the tin, and honestly, more.

This is a great little experimental atmospheric horror game. For the first quarter I felt paranoid, tight chest difficult to breathe, delving into the unknown wastes with a sense of dread as my mind raced to bad ends. After a bit I got accustomed to the environment, but this is when the game spins you on your head and begins to display unnatural and odd signs, all of which that slowly build up and amount to oddities and tense situations.
The sense of lost is conveyed pretty well at times, as you can in some scenarios go on forever if you don't pay attention, only do you follow the odd environment will you progress. However where this game signs is by keeping the player unnerved and on their toes, praying that they don't tip over and lose forward progress.

Won't be a game for everyone, but not every game is for everyone, and that's fine. Easily though, if you like atmospheric horror with obscure stories that may require a 2nd play-through to properly grasp, highly recommend!
