This game offers a strong sense of immersion with its mechanics, and it offers a unique, thought-provoking experience to those willing to engross themselves in the role of their character. It lends itself well to replays - it's short enough to not be a slog, but the choices offered to the player can enable different experiences each time. The game runs well on lower-end machines, so you can fire it up for quick sessions on a laptop if that's your style. My only complaint is that the game can get a bit crashy, especially towards the ending.

Play the demo first. It's a bit high-priced at $10, so you may want to wait for a sale to knock a couple of bucks of the price.
