A great kinetic visual novel (VN) with some good character art, a nice soundtrack featuring some more memorable piano scores and an excellent underlying message of family along with some above average backgrounds.
Unfortunately, Shan Gui suffers from some mediocre voice acting and unapologetically cringeworthy dialogue. The story is also rather plain and rather riddled with conventional tropes that may be unappealing to those unacquainted with some of its more risque features.
Still, whilst quite short for a VN (I finished in around 2 hours), it makes for a pleasant experience that is worthy of its $2 regular price tag.

TLDR: Nice art, good message, dodgy dialogue and uguu story but worth it for the price. Questionable stuff warning!

A fun and short but slightly frustrating game with a suprising amount of replay value, not bad for a 5mb game. However, for the price of $1.99 it could have had a few more interesting features.
