For the price of the older ROMs alone, it's worth it if you're a retro games nerd, especially for the more rare games like Waterworld or anything on the Jaguar. However, the amount of work and clear love put into the Re-imagined series like Vctr-Sctr and the long-lost Airworld blows any other game compilation out of the water. If you're a game history buff like me, it's pretty sweet to see the corporate timeline of Atari put together with interviews and to be able to not only see, but play the history being shown is a great time! I wish this could be the new standard for games preservation for every company with a significant back catalog. Cannot recommend this little gem of a compilation higher!

A Good Game but...

Let me preface this review by saying I love this game to death, I have been a huge fan of the NMH series for many, many years and that NMH 2 is my favorite in the series. The music is top of the line and every song fits every single scenario its placed in perfectly. The gameplay has been improved from NMH 1 with more weapons choices, a more fluid combat system, and a better grasp of what makes the No More Heroes series so fun. The story, while it may not be everyone's cup of tea, does land more than it misses, specifically near the end with the fights after playing as Shinobu. The graphics have gotten a bump in quality since NMH 1 though this bump in quality doesn't shine in every place or cutscene.
However, this port on the PC isn't the proper way to play this game nowadays, it requires a controller which isn't inherently bad, NMH should be played with a controller for the best experience but the option would have been nice for those that prefer a keyboard and mouse. The game on a better screen suffers from it as much as it gains, as some cutscenes look absolutely horrible like the pre-fight cutscene with Charlie. However, the game on the PC is absolutely riddled with crashes, far more often and far more consistently than on the Wii or Switch ports, especially nearing the end of the game where a consistent crash stopped me dead in my tracks and killed a save file after the Captain Vladimir (rank 3) fight. The achievements in this port are also bugged and don't properly count some values or may not trigger properly. The bugged achievements I encountered that were solvable were:
"Slay of the Dragon" for killing Ryuji, this achievement triggers at the very end of the cutscene so don't skip it.
"A Brother's Nightmare" for killing Mimmy as Henry, this achievement also does not trigger until the end of the post-fight cutscene.
"Spaced Out" for killing Captain Vladimir, as discussed above, the cutscene triggers for this fight may be bugged and kill a save file. Load up a backup slot before fighting Vladimir or you may have to restart the game entirely.
"Desperate Massacre" for killing 510 regular enemies, this achievement's counter is bigged and resets upon starting a revenge mission (unlocked after beating secret boss Kimmy Howell). The way to fix this is to grind out kills before taking any revenge missions.
The bugged achievements I encountered that were NOT solvable were:
"Minigame Masteroo" for playing all eight side jobs at least once, this achievement's counter is completely broken and does not count one of the jobs, I suspect it's the Scorpion one.
"Maybe See a Doctor?" for using all 10 different toilets in the game, this counter is also broken and does not count one of the toilets, I suspect it's the one in the final level in Pizza Batt Tower.
"It Was a Desperate Struggle" for getting every other achievement, this one is not unlockable for obvious reasons.

Overall, this port of the game isn't working properly and may be a coin toss in certain sections as to whether or not it crashes. The gameplay is fun and the story is great but the port isn't responsible for the good elements of the game. I reccomend this game if you're a diehard fan of the series like me and want to see how these ports work but for a newtimer picking up the series or someone coming back to the seires after a while. try to pick up the game on the Switch if you have one.

This game is what got me into the FPS genre all thise years ago...
I used to play on the now abandoned account sounion where I did not even know how to scope and was only "good" as soldier.
Then on one Christmas not so long ago I got a new laptop and with it this gem from my past and now this is 3/4ths of my free time now.
With one heck of a backpack, being decent at every class, and some genuine friends along the way.
I, and you should play this game.
