I'm not judging this game by the story let's get that out of the way. This game's not that great, now before you line up your crosshairs on my face, I want to explain why. The whole gameplay is sitting on your ass and turning on and off doors and lights...that is it. I have a problem with this and that problem is this, the first good horror game I've played is Amnesia: The Dark Descent, the gameplay was pants wettingly ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ terrifying, and the reason for that is because you explicitly told that you shouldn't look at the monsters because you would slowly go insane. Amnesia was a great game that really did scare me, Five Nights at Freddy's actively encourages you to look at these animatronics to stop them from moving. First of all couldn't Mike just leave the resturant and call the police, couldn't he just get one of the tool from the back room, couldn't he just get up and hit them with the chair, why do the doors drain power by being held shut, wouldn't gravity just keep them down, wouldn't the doors drain power if they were kept open, why is the paycheck not marked with a date, why does the phone ring if it's a recorded messages. Alright, alright enough with logic ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ let's get to why I dislike this game. The game's not that scary, it's only the jumpscare and anticipationthat really scares me and I'm sure it's the only thing that scares everyone else. That's my main problem with the game,but because it's a horror game and it doesn't scare what does it have to offer, my answer to that is: not much in terms of horror. So why do I recommend this game, the only reason I recommend it is to either entertain your friends by letting them listen to you scream like a little girl or, the only real enjoyment I get out of it, ♥♥♥♥ around with the glitches and exploits or finding easter eggs. So yeah that's my review of FNaF, in short not that great but if you like it good for you.
