This game invokes the rare combination of "Overwhelmed" and "Bored" at the same time. You run around ALMOST well designed worlds to do a lot of ALMOST fleshed out missions for ALMOST endearing characters. I kid you not, jumping off the highest points in the level and taking fall damage is more rewarding than the challenges. Try and glitch your way behind the level geometry so you can get even higher than intended.

The things that are supposed to be funny are not funny. Accidentally funny. Perhaps if this game had humor instead of humour, it would be less painful to read. I can picture it yooka-clearlee in my mind... these old washed up game devs being "chuffed" at their Fourth-Wall-breaking bat. Cracking good job! Cheers, innit!

Laylee clearly doesn't want to be in this game, so make her a new one or something. Yooka can stay though; I feel like he belongs here. (He's the guy that builds meteoric speed and splats on the ground when you jump from high places... pretty awesome!)

Don't let curiosity trick you into buying before the remaster comes out.
(This game has a lot of potential, and the remake has a chance to salvage it, though I suspect it wont.)

Edit: I just got the move that lets you gain infinite altitude. Now Yooka can fall for even longer before striking the earth... with gusto! Cheers!
