This is one of my favourite games. Ever.

pros:
-great voice acting
-cheaper than special addition
-mods
-mods
-mods
-amazing quests and stories - high quality lore that will keep you engaged
-open world that is designed to look huge and has complex and diverse landscapes
-DLCs are fantstic (although I still don't understand what Hearthfire adds, you can skip out that one)
-the abundance of guilds, daedric gods and class builds means that you can roleplay to the fullest, whether you want to be a sneak archer, a necromancing mage, a spellswod, or simply a battleaxe weilding lunatic
-can be run on a low end pc (I played without a graphics card as mine broke)
-exceptional detail to misc objects

cons:
-main quest is quite boring and very short
-you may find the graphics outdated (this can be solved by either buying the special addition, or using mods)
-can be glitchy at times, but again, can be solved with unofficial patch mod
-starting a new character can be tedious as you have to go through many dungeons and quests again
-magic does not level up that well, you only get new spells
-lockpicking is a ♥♥♥♥♥

I shouted a boss off a cliff, punched another to death, anddrank skooma like a madman. This game is amazing and you would not regret playing it.

Mods:
Apart from the quests and stories, the best thing about skyrim is it's modding community.
Check out the workshop or Nexus Mods
Mods I recommend:
-pure water
-SkyUI
-better hairstyles
-alternate start
-violens - a killmove mod
-unofficial patches

some mods to look forward to:
-skywind - a community made remaster of elder scrolls morrowind using the skyrim engine
-skyblivion - a community made remaster of elder scrolls oblivion using the skyrim engine
-Beyond Skyrim - a community project wokring to recreate the whole of Tamriel using the skyrim engine - a very large DLC, if you will.

Welcome to Team Fortress 2. After 9 years of development (and 10 years since launch) we *hope* that it has been worth the wait.

So.....
I've been playing TF2 for about a year now. That is full on playing it and earning those 1k hours.
It's great.
I met so many friends, had wonderful times and laughed my ass off. The community is great, with the casual side of the game, competitive and trading, you will easily get immersed into this new virtual world.
As for the gameplay, I think it's good. To quote LazyPurple, TF2 has the best combat in FPS due to its rewarding system: you will nearly always feel as if your death was your fault - you could've dodged, or you could've hit and fragged.

Overall, I really do like this game and I recommend it to you. Those first 20 or so hours of learning will be a bit tough, but afterwards you'll have amazing fun.

SIDE NOTE: This game will make you good at overwatch. I play OW about once in 4 months and I still own because of my TF2 experience. It's worth playing TF2 if you want to get good at own or something. Idk, TF2 is better imo.
