Very good game, has a big margin of improvement still but is really playable, enjoyable, you can make great things and will enjoy playing this jewel of a game.
Since a month or so, Dedicated servers were added, which is a great way of playing with your friends - or having your save going 24/7 for farmers. Linux dedicated servers are on the tests too, claimed possibly instable, i've tried them since they were release, never got a gameplay problem, working as a charm exept for small bugs and improvement Tefel is working hard to fix and very reactive

In conclusion, if you want a game that's improving day by day and will give you a space factorio vibe, play it now, and go set up a dedicated server asap to have lots of fun with your friend, but be aware of the current update state of the game.
