When CD Projekt Red was coming up with the ideas for Cyberpunk 2077, this is what they were going for.

Sorry I know that's been said to kingdom come here, but seriously this game is amazing, a serious 10/10 contender for me. The music? Fantastic, every level is a new beat, and some levels I spent upwards of 30+ minutes in. Never once did I get sick of hearing a loop or did I even consider turning it down. I almost looked forward to what song was next as much as I did unlocking each weapon. (more on that ina min) The graphics? It's actually ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insane what pixel art is capable of when you smack it with some really nice lighting and some basic 3D models. Nothing here graphically did I dislike. The Story? I was actually interested in what was going on in this little setting they've made. Normally I'm not too interested in there being a story in games of this genre, it's more of a background thing, but here it's actually interesting and you're being thrown pieces of it constantly. No, it's not some deep RPG story telling here, but it's good and above the norm for what atleast I personally expected. Good voice acting even, someone get MAW a lozenge. Also, the easter eggs/little 'innuendos' here are just fun everytime.
Now, to the main reason you play a game like this, and golly gee, did they really set the bar high here for any future titles I play of this genre.

Every.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
Gun.
Bangs.

You don't stop getting these either throughout the entire story. Each one is entirely unique and comes with multiple upgrades. The 1st will give you the alt fire of the weapon (R Click). This just adds to each weapon feeling unique and being a blast to swap to, and in some cases, gives you ANOTHER weapon to play with. What I mean by this is the UZI's for example. First upgrade to the alt fire allows you to throw one away (they're akimbo) and just single use one for a bit slower fire rate, but you're way more accurate. Next upgrade you're able to essentially combined them for a slower, but harder hitting assault rifle for the alt fire, fantastic stuff. At any point you're able to just R Click and swap right back to the akimbo. The dual pistols can be held on the alt fire to charge up and lock onto up to 5 enemies. This is a very easy way to just clear out weak ones, and feels so good to use. It's simple as ♥♥♥♥ but the animations ontop of everything else just makes it satisfying. The minigun you get can be turned into a flamethrower, and the list goes on. I wont go too much deeper on the guns, because honestly, you need to experience unlocking these for yourself, just know if you're into this genre, these weapons are 10/10 every turn. They still have yet to finish the story too, and are planning to release the final 3rd part this year. I don't even know how they plan to top the weapons, but man am I looking forward to it.

Some extra points here are the boss fights, each one felt really fun to experience. However, the 3rd of the 4 you fight feels WAY harder than the final. As in I had to sweat with the 3rd while the final I was at the edge of my seat expecting some huge challenge, but wasn't. Hopefully this isn't the case with the final part of the story release, but even if it is, the final boss fight was one of the tripp-iest visually, boss fights I've had in awhile. Almost FarCry Voss levels were pushed with it, solid.
There is a level editor that is currently in alpha from how it seems, I sadly couldn't get it to work but what is there for me to play with is promising, and I really want to make levels for my friends to try and vice versa. Would add alot more playtime. Seems it's coming in a update this year along with multiplayer? PauseChampers.

The time slow ability is fun, and becomes almost a must for some of the boss fights. The hook I feel could of been used more but still a fun addition to later fights/arenas.The Wrist Rockets are satisfying as ♥♥♥♥ to use and all I wish is that I could have no cooldown and spam them ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ all over the place. Get the cluster upgrade on that ♥♥♥♥♥ and watch everything burst on your screen >:^) I could go on and on about some of the insane levels here, but you need to experience it for yourself like I got to, it's such a treat. The enemies are all unique, and each tier of enemy will have atleast one that will just piss you off, sounds about right for this genre. Of course there's secrets to find.

Later edit, forgot to even mention there is an entire augment system to play with that just adds more layers of upgrades to what you have. You'll find little shops to spend your money on ammo, weapon upgrades, or these augments to slot into your legs, arms, etc. This does nothing but add even more enjoyment and a slight vanilla build variety with what you're doing. More DMG when sliding, money is pulled to you, you can stop on wall runs and stick, lower cooldowns, etc.

I just have no faults with this, and plan to keep it installed because the endless mode is actually a good time, I want to beat this on the hardest difficulty, and I just love what's been put together here. Rare Hall of Fame W
