NOTE: I have played this far more on the Vita than i did on pc(to the point of max leveling every character and platinum trophying it.) but as it's the same game and nothing much changes it still applies here.

While the gameplay can be a slog at times and the pandering adn fanservice is always on high I can't really say I disliked this game. Sure, it's not the best game both in terms of gameplay or plot it more than makes up for it in the characters it brings to the table and replayibilty it garners as a rpg with a built in remake system. The characters( for how"token"they are) are likible and youd be hard pressed to not find at least one character you like in this game. The variety it there as well both in the sense of the character options which are high for this kind of game and the way the game has you constantly revisiting new area with a different spins added. While most backtracking is boring and repetative this game manages to make you feel invested and enjoy the trip with the remake syatem changing the way the game runs around you.

The story itself isn't really anything to write home about to be honest but thats not to say it's boring . The characters the story portrays and the self aware style of the story itself make for a enjoyable ride even disregarding the story entirely. it's incredibly meta and full of pandering and joke but thats not a bad thing as it adds to the charm of the whole thing. It doesn't try to take itself seriously and in doing so it eases itself in to a nice niche in terms of how typical rpgs are portrayed.

Overall if your even slightly interested in an rpg thats full of variety in game and character or just enjoy a good laugh while you casually play a little you won't really be disappointed here.

10/10 It's meh ...but really it's a a nice wellmade game and worthy of anyones library.
