One of my personal favorite Sonic games, I still enjoy it to this very day! The speed stages are a blast and the other gameplay styles are also pretty good. Not as exciting as the speed stages, but good in their own right.

A long time ago, Project M was the only thing I played for a period of my life, and everytime spent on it was fun. Seeing that the creators of Project M made this game had me excited, but did it result in a good game so far? Here's what I think.

Gameplay wise, it's what you expect of a Platform Fighting game, except that this takes speed just like Melee, which is what I really dig. The gameplay is fast and fun, which I enjoy a lot. When it comes to the characters, I really like a few of unique characters, but it's a big shame that they're locked behind a paywall. The fact that these characters aren't free and the characters based on existing Smash characters are free is a problem. Now for the lootbox system, I'm more of mixed. I like the alternate costumes and collectibles, but the game isn't even being subtle about their nods to Overwatch. The lootbox system is alright, but did it really need to be in this game? Speaking of lootboxes, the microtransactions is another thing I should point out. I think I can speak for a lot of people when I say that the Founder's Pack is way too much. The game has less than 10 fighters, and they want you to pay for a lot for something I wouldn't spend my money on yet.

So, could I recommend it? Right now, I could say yes, but it would be really steep "yes". If there's one reason I'm recommending this, is the possibility that the game could become better with time. The gameplay's already there, and once they add new characters and possibly make it worth the amount of money they want you to pay for the Founder's Pack, then I would recommend it. But right now, it's just what you might expect from an Early Access, Free to Play, Smash clone. It's up to you if you want to play this game and I assure that fun is in this game, and if you get a bunch of friends to duke it out with you, then more power to you.

As an alternative to Super Smash Brothers, I find this game fun to play, however but not in a way of coming back to this for sure everyday. The game is basically Smash Brothers, but except your fighter has a specific set of weapons, and you must use those weapons to your advantage. Some can be easy or hard to use depending on your preference. Online is where it's at however, it can get boring after a while. But what I can say, you might enjoy the repetitive combos online.
