We need to spend more money to 100% play this game just after bought 60$ full price game.

All i want to play is my career mode, i don't want playing park proam blah.. blah..
and 2K offered one of worst experience ever since i enjoyed 2k series.

VC, VC, VC..
They removed difficulty slider bonus, player size bonus
so playing 5mins for pro level twice is better than playing 12 mins for HOF level once.
you need to play more than 200 games with A+ grades to reach 85~86 ovr.

and player motions,
you have to buy motions what you like, sooner or later you noticed it locked :D
you need to reach 60, 70, 80 ovr ratings to unlock this motions.

so.. it means playing 100~200 games with no/basic motions (took thousands of mins in real life)
or just spent more money :(

so disappointed. i won't recommend this game.

It's so fucking easy to get up. You just have to keep grinding. Lazy asses like you complain because yall dont fucking grind. You not gon get to 99 ovr if you dont grind. Some people buy vc but thats them. I grind because it makes the game more fucking fun. If your actually good at the game it would be sp easy making 1k vc per game. Just play on Hall of Fame(12 min quarters) and play smart and rack up the stats. I'm already at a 72 overall with no vc puchases.

@ImperatorTiberius For what you are looking for... This game fucking rules. I just don't understand why so many people think mycareer is where the fun is at, because it's just a basketball version of a grindy WOW. Then they get so mad at it that they are blinded to see the excellent rest of the game sitting there unnoticed.

You must actually suck at the game cause I have been playing non stop career havnt simulated a game and coming close to the first season and im 79 so more than 200 games is a lie plus what would you rather do be level 99 in the first season way to go for relisim gj buddy, people like you make me laugh,

@DrawsPastTense Yes it does thank you! Actually, not a lot of reviews actually specify any of it. VC could also stand for the developers company name in an abbreviation for all I knew. Besides that, people with positive reviews are way too general.

If I can play a nice and fun game of basketball with really good graphics, preferably able to play on the couch with friends it's definatly going on my wishlist.

Lol @ those who'd rather cheat to win. SMH at having to play a gane to get better. What a concept? You guys sound pathetic crying about haircuts.

Totally agree with DrawsPastTense. The "draft champs" mode is awesome. Haven't played play now but I'm sure it's ok like always, especially with all the new teams like All Time teams.

Totally agree. This is pay 2 win game. Don't buy this garbage. If you don't pay you baiscally can't play.

@ImperatorTiberius most of the negative reviews you see on steam are in regards to one game mode called Mycareer. Mycareer plays like an RPG in the basketball world and it is a grind like most RPG's. 2K18 offers VC (virtual currency) that you can buy with real money as well as earn ingame. The Mycareer takes a lot of time to earn your way to be good in that mode if you don't want to spend any money.

However, there is a lot of other modes that don't involve the use of VC at all! Other than the dumb Mycareer mode, the game is excellent. So if you are just looking to play basketball there are loads of content for you to do that without any grinding, and you can control every aspect of your own dynasty leagues, or creating a player for other modes.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the heads up, not getting this game anymore
