Spoilers ahead

This game started out as a fun little romp though Necromunda, but it rather quickly slid into a short, depressing slap in the face of 40k fans.

Not only is the game barely 8 hours in length for the campaign, but the lack of an ending, nausea inducing melee animations, and lack of overall variety in game play styles leads me to believe that there will be an enhanced edition, or massive amounts of payed dlc. The campaign ends of a cliff hanger, with your hired gun now the top wanted bounty in the Underhive, no thanks to local pretty boy Kal Jerico, but the rest of the filling of this game is random side missions that are the same 4 variants : defend the area, rescue target, destroy X amount of Y, or Kill Target, all of which is filling reputation bars for the different factions, that do nothing other then give not faction specific weapons. The story over all is near impossible to follow, with cut scenes jumping from one static model to another, before throwing you into a new kill arena, with several of the bosses just teleportation you into there arenas with no explanation

The wall running mechanic is well done, though the lack of open spaces, save for big killing areas, makes it hard to implement it into the style of play the devs intended. I personally just used DOOM 2016 style of go very fast and double jump. The Sparse amount of weapons in this game, totaling 14 by my count, has a fair amount of customization, but is mostly cosmetic, the attachments doing barely any noticeable difference. Along with the player customization is abysmal, only allowing for 5 of the same outfit of different colors .

I had fun with this game in the beginning, but only 3 levels in, the fun of blasting another ganger in the face with the Emperors blessed bolter, ran dry. I got this game on sale at $34 US, and its still not worth the money.

an all around great game from when valve bothered to make games. easy to play hard to master, and not even bothering to talk about the item trading scene
