I played this game when it was available as a demo and got extremely impatient for the early access release date. Don't let the crispy pixel art fool you, this game's systems are deep and the AI is incredibly unforgiving. Traversing locations, day or night, is intimidating and leaves you with a pit in your stomach after every encounter. Weapons customization and hideout upgrading is robust and lets you live out your tacti-cool dreams. Best of all, the game does not take itself all that seriously.

Play this game if you've enjoyed the atmosphere and difficulty of games like Escape from Tarkov and STALKER.

While the driving portions of the game ran a little long (they were still a good time), this game holds up amazingly well for being a 2004 release. The audio is neat and the graphics are beyond its time. The enemy AI could be better but it felt clean enough that enemies sometimes got the better of me. The game is free so why wouldn't you give it a try?
