Early Access Review
Right away I'm loving the art direction, the story, and just the overall vibe of the game. The gun combat feels really good and accurate even without aim assist. I really am enjoying it so far but there are alot of quality of life things about the mechanics I would change/improve. No belt holster is kinda sucky, having to reach over your back doesn't feel very good. The magnetic grab system should be based off where your looking with your head not your hands, the systems pointer comes out of the top of your hand rather than your palm so I keep grabbing things accidentally, sometimes things don't get highlighted or I just flat out cant grab something (mainly my left hand) without reloading from checkpoint. I am playing on the Index so maybe quest controllers would feel better for grabbing things. You can pick up magazines after the fall on the ground, not the biggest deal because there is so much ammo but its annoying if you keep accidentally grabbing mags from your belt just by resting your hands by your side, that ones a little tricky to fix as being able to reload without looking at your belt is nice but i usually end up looking down anyways. The music starting and stopping so fast every time you go in and out of combat kinda ruins the vibe a little, i would like to hear the music more rather than it just going away. Other than that I think this game is great especially for a studios first game made by only two people, really well done and I will definitely keep playing and make sure to do another review down the line when you guys have had to time to improve off feedback. :)
