One of the few multiplayer online games where you can actually collaborate with random strangers to achieve a common goal without having to deal with any toxicity and people do help each other (although that's mostly because the game mechanics kinda force you to), it's also really fun and adorable... and I think this might count as a game inspired by religion, yet it does it without being preachy which is pretty remarkable.

Probably the most adorable game out there about a morally bankrupt government official kicking you out of your own house because you didn't pay your taxes in time and then forcing you to put your life in risk by working for him in a complicated, and quite dangerous, scheme to take over a post-apocalyptic world.
Did I mention that you control a walking turnip that wields a wooden sword?
Yeah, it's great, play it.

Given how harsh some of the other reviews here are I expected this game to be kinda bad, but it's actually perfectly fine. I didn't experience any bugs, the puzzles make sense and there's a text description of what you're meant to accomplish, the hidden object scenes are a tad repetitive but there's enough of them to not be tedious, the help system is thankfully straightforward without just giving away the answer. The only real criticisms I have are that there's quite a bit of backtracking but the player is sometimes given no clue of where something new became available, and that the story ends very suddenly to the point that the end screen caught me by surprise.
Not the best hidden object/adventure game I've played, but far from the worst. I had three hours of fun with it so I'm satisfied.

For a free DLC this is really nice, quite a bit of extra content.
Also, I had not played this game in 4 years and was pleasantly surprised by all the improvements, at this point it's basically a remaster/remake when compared to the original version. And it's all free for us who already own it!
I wish more devs were this nice and dedicated.

The first Hook already was a good puzzle game, this sequel improves on it by adding more mechanics, an extra dimension, and some ideas reminiscing of the other puzzle games from the same developer. And it still gives that same satisfying feeling that one gets from untying a particularly complicated knot.

Sometimes I'm in the mood to watch a small dog climb on top of a wall, knock off a chicken from said wall, proceed to jump off that wall into a banana peel, slide on it, fly through the air while twirling, hit a crow, get back to the ground, steal a girls underwear, and then face-plant into a heap of trash on the street.
Not many games out there fully dedicated to a single dumb joke that actually nail the landing, unlike the shiba inu in this game that usually doesn't nail his landings, but hey that's part of the charm.

I came looking for copper, and found gold.

Apparently I got this game in a bundle or something ages ago, destined to just sit forgotten on my backlog gathering digital dust for all eternity, but tonight I accidentally rediscovered it while looking for something that would run on an ancient netbook I'm currently stuck with. And boy am I happy to have stumbled upon this gem.

This is the most charming little game I've played in quite some time, a simple point and click adventure mostly about interacting with things and characters at its core, but man is the presentation lovely. A noir detective story about a disappearance, in proper grayscale of course, but the whole thing is made in claymation. Most of the dialogue is sung, with it being intentionally a bit off for comedic effect. The story is humorous but relatable, with contextual puzzles that make perfect sense, and the protagonist appears to be a pretty good representation of an nb.
Also the thing doesn't overstay its welcome by keeping a brisk pace and being done in about an hour and a half, so the gimmicks don't have time to get stale.

Definitely a recommendation from me, beautiful little game and it runs on the potatoest of PC's.

It's the Stanley Parable done again, but bigger and better, and that's the whole point of the game. To the point that me saying anything else would spoil the point of the game, which is to point out its point, in a poignent way.
Was that enough to qualify as a review? I dunno, I liked it tho.

I must admit that what caught my eye about this one was the cyclops girl, and it definitely is a great hook, but that's not all the game has to offer.
Besides the nice art the story is well written and really sweet and relatable despite the odd premise, also the plot is surprisingly grounded, with the only bad thing I can think about being this one song that repeats several times over the length of the game that actually sounds pretty bad, but that's just one in the entire soundtrack. So if you're up for an awkward and cute first love tale, I really enjoyed my time with this VN and can recommend it. Do check the extras after you're done with the main story, there's quite a few things worthy of a look like extra scenes.

BTW, yes there's some fetish stuff in here as you might suspect, but it's pretty tame and doesn't have anything to do with the... eye situation.

Simple yet challenging rhythm game with a cool artstyle, intriguing story, and amazing soundtrack.
Can't wait for the full game to come out.
