Welp i have ALOT to say about this version of ultimate doom, i bout it last year and was quickly disappointed because it would not work on my pc although i found a work around to that problem with took a bit but i still did it so for anyone that has had trouble with making this version work i will help. (Works on Windows 8.1 and Windows 10(?) as far as i know.)
!DISCLAIMER! i am not to blame if you mess up your game all i am posting is what i did to fix it
1.Install Doom & Doom II.
2.Right click on doom and choose "Properties" go into the "Local File" tab and go to "Browse Local Files".
3.Go into the folder called "Base".
4.Right click doom(.exe) and go into "Properties" and go into the "Compatibility" tab.
5.Change the Compatibility Mode to Windows 95 (dunno why but it works).
6.Then go to "Ultimate(.CONF)" and open it with Notepad.
7.Change "Fullscreen=True" to "Fullscreen=False".
8.Change "Fulldouble=True" to "Fulldouble=False".
9.Change "Waitonerror=True" to "Waitonerror=False".
10.Save the file and go to "Ultimatem(.CONF)".
11.Do the same as you did with "Ultimate(.CONF)".
12.Download ZDoom and run Ultimate Doom.
13.Have fun playing one of the godfathers of the fps genre!

very good game with good graphics,huge nostalgia,very challenging and more i give this game a 9 out of 10
