Overall pretty fun gameplay, reminds me of fancy pants adventures. Ur just jumpin around and collecting things. It's not as hard as people say. I thought it was a good difficulty curve. Some of the later levels can be pretty challenging but nothing too difficult. The only thing that actually got me kind of annoyed was the second-to-last level but after some trial and error i got it done in about an hour. The final boss fight was kinda underwhelming, but everything up until that point was pretty fun so it doesn't really matter to me.

Blasphemous has a really compelling story that'll keep you wanting to keep playing to find out more about the incredibly detailed world of Cvstodia. How it draws on real world traditions and iconography is really unique and I've never seen it done like this in a game before to create a sort of Catholicism AU, it's really intriguing.

The visuals are amazing. I would describe some of the backgrounds and environments as breath-taking, like its all just so intricately detailed just like the story. The enemy designs and bosses are all really varied and interesting and you'll just want to keep playing the game to see what the next ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up creature looks like lol.

The gameplay feels like it serves the story well, which I always love to see. The brutal difficulty never feels unfair, it always feels like you can conquer a difficult part if you keep trying and getting better. The combat is really satisfying because it forces you to be methodical with it due to how hard hitting these enemies are. I like a good challenge.

All in all, it is an impressively polished and cohesive experience with an intriguing story that kept me engaged through the whole thing.

I absolutely love the vibes of this game. The visuals it absolutely nails. Its like vectory toony stuff but following the conventions of pixel art still. And the music is super cute too. But what ruins it for me is the story isnt very captivating, and I had a hard time feeling motivated to keep playing kuz I never felt like I was really working towards a goal. And the tutorial section is super hand-holdy and makes me wanna fall asleep the instant the game starts, im not gonna lie. But otherwise, its a fun zelda esque adventure you can pick up and play from time to time if you dont get bored easily. but for me its style is the most inspiring thing about it

The visual aesthetic is definitely the strongest thing about this game. I love it, it's so cute. And the gameplay is a simple, linear 3D platformer, and while fun at times, it doesn't have much more depth than a mobile game. Also most of the music just misses the mark for me, and the sound design feels lacking in polish too, like it just feels rather rushed. But other than that It's a really cute looking game.
