This being one of the first RPG i ever played, it blew me away. This game is just so well put together that it leaves me to want a remaster or something of the sort. However, the game isnt without its flaws. Specifically, the combat can seem dull and repetitive if you play it with an aggro mindset, not bothering to avoid attacks and spam health potions. Another flaw for me personally is the difficulty setting. Finding the perfect sweetspot varies from character to character. Enemies will either become total wimps getting one shot by any attack or be absolute tanks that drain your resources to nothing. What i would more prefer is something along the lines of fallout 4's survival mode damage, where you and enemies both have increased killing potential. That aside, this game has characteristics that far outweigh the cons. My personal favorite being the music. This game's soundtrack, in my honest opinion, is amazing. I feel myself getting lost in the harps, flutes, and violins when wandering the various cities. Ominous music kicking in when i enter an unexplored cave. But who could forget the epic tones of the games title screen. Another great thing about this game are the secrets hidden throughout the landscape. Perhaps a bow or chest that you would have never stumbled upon in a first playthrough. Another topic i wanted to touch on is how you play this game. If you are the type of person that loves getting to the end fast and wants instant gratification, maybe this isnt your game. I think you have to be the observant type, listen to the dialogue, read the books, dont rush through every quest like you are in a hurry like so many others do. You miss out on the little nuances the game so delicately hides. You can appreciate the game on another level. Though this game is very outdated, i feel it gives the game a certain charm that few others have. It was the RPG that paved the way for future games of its genre, and look where we are now. These are just my thoughts on the game, the may not be true or subjective, but i hope i can convince someone to experience this game the way i have. Much love and thank you for reading.

Allow me to say this is one of the most difficult yet entertaining game i have ever played. They amount of work you put into one run can be almost instantly taken away from you for one mistake. It keeps you on your toes, never really sitting around. The multitude of classes and difficulties also complements a variety of playstyles. For this cheap a price on sale and the amount of replayability, its almost a mistake not to at least try the game out.
