CS:GO was by far my most played game. I really enjoyed the feel of the game and while it was clear that it had become outdated, valve has managed to make COUNTLESS mistakes with the switch to CS2.

My biggest gripe is servers. I have 1000+ hrs in this game. I can FEEL in my BONES when an awp shot hits. I would say anywhere from 10% to 30% of the shots I take should have hit but magically do not. It is clearly a server side issue because I have reviewed my gameplay clips and I would say only 1 in 10 of them were situations where I actually missed. The server just decided that the other players inputs were more important for some reason. Upgrade the servers. Stop trying your little tricky 'but im not like other 64 tick servers' and actually upgrade to 128.

Second gripe. Cheaters. How. HOW!!??! are there so many cheaters already. This game has been out for a gosh dang MONTH and every fourth game has a blatant cheater. VAC doesn't work and it hasn't since 2015. You clearly did not prioritize how players would feel while playing while making this redesign. All you focused on was flashy new lighting effects that nobody cares about besides the 10000 people that happen to own doppler knives. Your priorities are completely wrong.

Third gripe. Matchmaking sucks. Individual player performance should be taken into account, not just win or loose. You ripped everything else off of valorant why not rip this off of them as well.

Fourth gripe. 4-queue is gone. I play almost exclusively with 3 other friends. We now have to find a rando in 'looking to play' which is fine aside from the fact that it is the exact same scenario we would be in as if we queued with 4 players in GO and got matched with a rando. It didn't change anything, especially because its not like there's a separate queue for 5 stacks likes there is in valorant. So what exactly did the lock of 4-queue achieve???

Fifth gripe. CSGO should have still remained playable. I have friends with computers that cant run CS2 and now I cant play with them.

Sixth gripe. Zero new content. This is all the way down here at the bottom because it is by far the least important of the items on this list, but if you're going to pretend you're releasing a shiny new game, it would help to have something to be excited about, like maybe a new case of skins that look amazing using the new engine you wanted to show off, or maybe a new map for people to learn instead of just porting half of the CSGO maps over. The game is brand new and already feels more stale than CSGO ever did.

I really do love the CS franchise, and I really want to see it succeed, but you are loosing players at an alarming rate because of the big issues I listed above. I would suggest the Valve team start by addressing the game feel and server issues because I know I am not alone in feeling this way. This should be something you can fix in the next month. From there you should look to completely overhaul your anti-cheat system. This could take a year to complete but it is so important to the players who feel like they cant improve or climb because of the sheer number of cheaters. After that you should probably focus on designing and implementing seriously sick maps and skins. The community needs something to be excited about, and something that shows off the hard work you have already done to improve the game. Additionally, we need community servers back. the CS community is what gives CS its life and the only reason why it has been able to maintain a playerbase in the face of newer competitors like valorant. Surf, trade, scouts n knives servers, these are the lifeblood of the CS community.

Finally, expand. This game has been the same for too long. Its time to add drastically different game modes (like danger zone), new guns, and any new content that could be fun, silly, or interesting. This is where valve's creativity as a game developer can really run wild.

I pass along to you the sentiment of your players. We want you to succeed so we can continue to experience and enjoy the game we have come to love so dearly, but seeing the state it is in right now, it is hard to stay excited. So this is your opportunity to listen to your die-hard community while they're still here. These things need to change or you will lose your title to competitors, and CS2 will just be an embarrassing final chapter on an otherwise beloved story.
