NPCs still have no depth. Pawns still point out the obvious. It's unfortunately unimmersive because of how clearly mechanical the world is.
Not worth the asking price.

For many weapon attacks, the movements doesn't match the animations. This is pretty obvious when a quick forward thrust doesn't cause any forward momentum. Looks bad.
The melee animations are pretty eh overall. Knife charged attacks look oddly slow for example.
Ranged play is fine.
Get when its on sale.

The uniqueness of the draak-kins' minds alone would already elevate Golden Treasure, and yet it goes further.

The soundtrack is beautiful.
The art is beautiful.
The writing is beautiful.

If you get it, get it for Cata (which is good) and the weapons. Not enough people play Weaves to make them relevant.

I'm biased because the game suits my preferences very well, but the game is fantastic once you get to Champion and up. Incredibly high skill ceiling, with plenty of room for modded high difficulty content that can be tweaked to be less, more or as difficult as the player desires. The grind can be skipped on modded mode (doesn't transfer over to official) with certain mods that let the player create gear, so if you're worried about grind that might be an avenue you'll want to consider. Very fast game, great characters and dialogue, and most importantly of all great combat and core gameplay that encourages proactive play, parrying and sneaking in attacks in narrow windows of opportunity against an overwhelming tide of enemies, with animation reading being an important part of the gameplay.

I will not say much more than that Hollow Knight is probably worth your time, and is worth far more than the asking price.

Feels more unique than the on-release factions, and it is free. People shouldn't give this DLC a thumbs down because they don't like CA's policy or the game in general, they should go to the main game's store page for that.
