The game itself is pretty good, genuinely fun at times, but it feels quite empty, there aren't many things to do in it, besides limitedd building, cave exploring and following the plot. The developers have abandoned the game after release, and that i feel is it's biggest downside, being left in a state that simply feels unfinished.

Europa Universalis IV is a good game, but it truly shines with at least a few DLCs. It costs a lot, if you truly want to experience it, but it is fun.
