The controversy began when an anonymous group of adventurers reportedly witnessed Goblin Slayer making derogatory remarks and expressing hatred towards the goblin species during a social gathering after defeating a large-scale goblin attack in their town. This sparked public outrage as many questioned his motivations for targeting this particular race, especially since goblins are known to be an ancient, intelligent species who have been victimized by humans and other races throughout history.
