After having played 1/2 an hour, survived 8 hours and been mauled to death by a pack of wolves while inside a Dam, I would recommend this game.

One of those games that comes along and shows you that all of the games you have already played were easy because they were designed to be. Risk of Rain is not easy (in my opinion), but it is one of the most fun games I have played in a long time. Being a roguelike every run is different, different items, different levels of win opportunity, and whether the RNG screws you over or not, you'll have fun playing and probably dying.

I have played the BioShock series from start to finish, it hasn't dissapointed me thus far. Thoroughly recommended to fans of FPSs and good storylines.
