If you've played the shareware version like crazy and have been dying for more, buying this and/or Doom II will not only satisfy you, it'll give you SO MUCH MORE than you expected. Play it on DOSBox or Chocolate Doom for a classic feel or try it on a modern source port such as GZDoom or Zandronum for added graphical effects. Download a few level packs and mods from the thousands available since the 90's.

Doom has an active multiplayer community, It runs on just about anything (new computers, old computers, smartphones, pianos, you name it), and it only costs five bucks. Really, it's hard to come up with reasons why NOT to get this game.
