Want to know a good trick to get an incredibly calm background for something? Consider combining music such as Zen music and the sounds of sailing ship on rough seas, wood creaking, and ocean sounds. It works really well, and I use it for stuff such as building in a game.

Here's what I use:

Zen Music

I combine the two together (have them playing at the same time) and it generates a really calm setting for me.
