Haven't played since the release of the original flash version of Binding of Isaac back in 2011/2012. I can say so far that the shine and thrill of this game still hasn't left despite coming back all these years: countless hours of replayability due to RNG, challenges, achievements, unlocks, etc.

Although I'm not too interested in this genre of games, I found the characters, theme, and gameplay intriguing and really easy to catch onto. It was definitely a bit easier at first for me with my muscle memory, where I managed to unintentionally get all 18 endings in Afterbirth from playing casually for 50 hours. However, with each win, the game gets progressively harder which is great. I've also encountered some minor issues that were annoying to say the least but nothing too game breaking (In the Afterbirth DLC, which are likely fixed in the future DLCs)

Having looked into the different DLCs, here is the summary of what each are as they can get confusing:
Original Game
- Binding of Isaac (Flash)
1. Wrath of the Lamb (DLC to Flash Game)

Remake of Series:
- Binding of Isaac: Rebirth (START HERE if anything. Not worth it to try previous versions imo)
1. Afterbirth DLC
2. Afterbirth Plus DLC
3. Repentence DLC (The most polished version of the game as it is the most recent DLC/Expansion Pack)

*** Each DLC adds onto each other as an EXPANSION pack ontop of the base game and DLCs before it with more items, bug fixes, bosses, etc. Each new DLC is usually harder in difficulty. ***

I decided to pick up the base game, Afterbirth, and Afterbirth Plus DLCs for now to see if it was worth it later to get Repentence DLC. Will likely upgrade in the near future.

Bought it on sale for like $2 for nostalgia from playing the original title on PS2. Did not disappoint. If you love to free-roam, drive, race, discover new drive-able cars around the map, speed, hit billboards, and cars in general, i'd say you'd probably like this game.

Great things:
- Graphics holds up to today's standards
- Various FREE and different types of cars to obtain (All with different stats and sounds as you'd imagine)
- Cars that satisfy your needs and not blocked by DLC paywall
- Fun and can be challenging at times
- casual, laid back game play
- 'Story' game-play length varies with each person (It has taken me around 11 unnoticed hours to 'beat' the game to be the "MOST WANTED", after hitting a million points and racing the last most wanted car)

Bad things:
- There is small turn delay (Unsure if purposeful but you'll get use to it)
- Multiplayer is meh
- Spike traps do not affect the AI at all which is a bummer
- There is no real story: just win against the best racers and win (Could be good thing depending on what you're looking for)

Overall, i think its a very simple game with a simple concept. Great casual play.
(P.S: I'd recommend to play on controller; I played on PS3 controller)
