Extreme replayability
Extreme roleplay value
Very diverse and interesting diplomacy options
Very customizable

Cons:
Some glitches on menus (like the fleet builder menu)
Latest DLC was trash (apocalypse)
Federation AI is very slow to back you up in war, you basically do all the work yourself

Overall a very good grand strategy with high replayability despite its less polished mechanics
