I found it worth the money (sale) but the multiplayer is a bit dead eben though it is even more fun with multiplayer. Nice options and cool cinematics for space battles.

There is hardly any "random" multiplayer going on as you might expect in other genres. Reason for that is that 4x is not very good for random drop-ins, you gonna need dedicated players who can attend for 2 or 3 hours in a row with minimal AFK times.

Thats why most MP games are set to private and by forming a group of people in advance. (I guess theres a lot going on which you simply cant see)

If you just enter the MP lobby then chances are you will hardly see any matches.
