I first discovered TF2 at a friend's house back in 2009 when he was playing it on the PS3, and me and my entire friend group took turns playing. I'd never been a big shooter fan, but the game's community hooked me from minute one. The gameplay, the memes, the relaxed and jovial atmosphere was something I'd never seen in a game before. I was hugely excited to get my own computer nearly two years later and start playing it, and I remember being so worried that the game would die before I had a chance to properly experience it. That was nearly fifteen years ago now, and the fun I have had with this game has been unreal. It's brought our friend group together, from the days of quoting cringey SFM videos in high school to the countless hours played together, and has been a huge part of not just my childhood, but my entire gaming life. There's something special here, something timeless, that so many other games have tried and failed to replicate.

Given the impact it's had on me growing up, it's hard for me to see it in the state its in now. The game has unfortunately been all but abandoned by its developers, and the still-thriving community now battles against waves of aimbots that infest public servers. Despite this though, people still play. The game STILL holds up, even now, but it's struggling. The community is keeping this game on life support, but that responsibility shouldn't fall to us. This game is part of online gaming's history, and it deserves better treatment from the developers. There's an incredible game here, but until Valve steps up and takes responsibility to maintain it, I can't recommend it in good faith.

As a long time fan of Darkest Dungeon, I picked up The Crimson Court recently and have been really unsatisfied with the experience it's given me. There's some excellent content in there - the Courtyard looks great, the music's fantastic, and it adds lots of great trinkets to the game. However, the Crimson Curse effectively acts as a mini-affliction that cannot be cleansed and spreads throughout your roster, made worse by the fact that enemies that inflict it will quickly begin appearing in every dungeon you enter. The DLC content forces its way into the main game in a very obtrusive way, and forces you to play in a very specific way to avoid losing all your heroes.

What's there is very good - but the way we're forced to interact with it really spoils the DLC.

Just about 30% of the way through the game so this is by no means a comprehensive review, but so far Ori and the Will of the Wisps has taken everything that made its predecessor great and built on them. Stunning visuals, mesmerising music and utterly enchanting chase scenes that are even better than the original. Some minor gameplay bugs (I've had one blackscreen so far that fixed itself on reboot, and during time trials the hitboxes for some areas may load incorrectly) but they don't hurt the overall quality of the game. If you enjoyed Blind Forest, I have no doubt you'll enjoy its sequel.

I would love to give a thorough and accurate review on this game...if the launcher actually let me into the game.
-After the game downloaded, the launcher operated so slowly I actually thought the clickable links were broken. Took 30+ seconds to respond to any kind of input.
-After reaching the login screen, I was prompted to create a SQENIX account. Went and did that, then came back to the launcher to login, only to be told my username/password is wrong.
-Went to the SQENIX website and reset my password, double-checked my username as well to make sure I had all the right details. Opened the launcher, tried again, nothing.
-I tried the 'Forgotten Login Information' button in the launcher, and was prompted to enter my email address so that I could reset my password (again.) Upon providing the email address associated with my account, I was told that my account didn't exist, despite being logged into it on my browser.

It was at that point that I just sort of gave up. I can't vouch for the game itself, but I don't feel that a game deserves my money if it's a battle to even login. If you plan on downloading this, make sure you have a free afternoon or four and a fetish for filling in paperwork.
