My 6 year old had no problems with the first paw patrol game, but really struggles with this one. The characters bump into each other, you can get stuck in places and if you stand too close to a platform you sometimes cannot jump onto it. This unpolished game has fairly frustrated my child.

There is also a mini game where all you do is push the same button repeatedly, or move the analog stick from left to right. He found it tricky and then progress gets reset when he gets tired. We even had both games with an xbox controller to make it easier for him.

Also, the game itself plays like a mobile game. The first game was repetitive, but had good core gameplay. However, this has brought in temple run style minigames and other boring stuff.

Very dissapointing game. Only played an hour, but already I can see this is worse than the ones that were on the ps2. The worst parts of this game are the:
1. The web swinging. This was the best part of the second and third game from the ps2, yet here it plays like the first game where you dont have much control when swinging around manhatten
2. The story. It seems as though it was written by a child
3. The simplicity of the combat. The combat is similar in style to the batman games, yet I found it had more of an assassins creed feel to it. This really could have been done more like Prince of Persia or God of War style.
4. Simplicity of side missions.

All in all the biggest problem is that this game seems to be catered to children, making it unchallaging and I may as well watch a movie than play this.

As for the positives, I do think the bosses are very much likemost superhero games which I enjoyed, where they have a weakspot that you must exploit a few times over. Also there is a good feel for being spiderman, with the visual side of the combat, and the visual part of swinging through the city, but I dont have to try to do any of these.

Even buying this on sale, I am dissapointed and won't keep playing it. If you want an easy game that has child like difficulty then go ahead. Otherwise avoid...
