I essentially never write reviews, but this game absolutely deserves it. As many others mentioned, the pacing in the game is fantastic: the mechanics change up frequently in creatively exciting fashions so that you never get tired of them or have to worry about remembering a billion different abilities. I played with my partner who is not a regular gamer (at best, a 'very casual' casual gamer) and the difficulty (from platforming to puzzles) was just right such that they had a blast. In addition to creative and beautiful environments as well as game elements, there are so many tiny bits of humor to be found in exploring the maps. The coop nature of the game is wonderfully integrated and gets you thinking about how far coop can be taken.

No game is perfect, but this one comes pretty darn close. My only gripe is that the gameplay and fantasy worlds are so great that some of the 'real world' scenes (involving actual humans) felt weak in comparison - but those are short and used to drive the story forwards into the next exciting stage and abilities, so it's more than acceptable.

FWIW I bought this on sale (50%, $20) but I'd honestly recommend it even at full price - the game definitely deserves GOTY.
