Farm ♥♥♥♥.

And Ride Tractors.

Best simulator in the world that there ever will be. Trust me.

It's that good. I mean, you can farm, and farm, and farm.

And.. farm?

**LONG REVIEW**
This is easily one of the greatest games I have ever played.

If you briefly dive into it, it appears to be nothing more than an arcade-style top down violent blood fest. It's Miami. 1989. Some dudes leave a message on your answering machine, and you get in your Delorean to an unspecified apartment, restaurant, or dance hall, then you proceed to put on an animal mask of your choice and murder EVERYTHING.

To the layman, nothing else seems to be happening.

But if you beat the game and start to understand Hotline Miami or research a bit on the internet, the game is FILLED with a reading-between-the-lines kind of plot.

But I won't spoil much in this review.

What I will say is that the ABSOLUTE BEST part about the game is:

The Soundtrack.

The buzz of electric 80's dance beats pumping through your ears as you clobber the head of a Russian mafia man's cranium with a baseball bat is more than satisfying. The soundtrack is so focused on mood, and tells you exactly what to feel when you're playing. After a stage is complete, the dance beats and adrenaline-filled music subsides, and you're left with an eerie silence. You're forced to backtrack through the level (outside of the building) back to your car.

And you witness the blood you have left in your rampage. In silence, of course.
Thoughts pop into your head. Moral questions.

Who left the messages on the answering machine?

Why did I kill these people?

Am I a monster? Or is there something more to this story?

These sort of questions are in the back of your mind the whole game, but you continue to kill for the love of it. The game is so fast-paced and exciting. Herein lies the big picture of Hotline Miami:

It's commentary about violence in video games.

You murder people without purpose or reason, seemingly, just like in any modern FPS.
Are the terrorists really the bad guys? Or does you killing them make you the true villain?
Hotline Miami makes this question the forefront of the game, and it really replicates the feeling of killing, more specifically the questions of moral sanity it brings.

Hotline Miami is one of the greatest indie games I have ever played. Probably one of the few I have fully completed.

TL;DR: BUY THIS ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ GAME RIGHT NOW OR ELSE I'LL BEAT YOUR HEAD IN WITH A BASEBALL BA---

The funniest game I have ever played.
First of all, I love Cold-War spy games, and the retro-futurism in this just adds to the atmosphere.
It's a really fun experience, and you should totally pick it up, BUT.

IT IS WAY TOO SHORT! My reaction at the end was the question of:
"That's it? R... Really?"
I want more.

The Long-Waited Sequel to Portal (2007's Game of the Year), Portal 2 delivers. It has a great plot, witty dialogue, a great cast of characters, and is 4 TIMES as long (and better) than Portal. If you ever get a chance to buy it, BUY IT.

Cave Johnson, we're done here.
