I would absolutely, without a doubt, recommend this game to anyone and everyone who even remotely enjoys shooters and co-op games alike. One of, if not, my favorite game of all time. Endless fun and brilliant delivery. That being said, i can't in good faith fully endorse it, as since release, due to the PSN debacle, I now can play with even less of my friends than before due to PSN not being available in a slew of countries. I do not care for the political reasons one would do that for, as presumably its part of an embargo or sanction. However, hitting your playerbase with it is a ridiculous idea. Great game dev company, unfortunate the publisher is fighting people on the streets for website traffic at this point (but only in some countries!)

overpromised and very clearly ditched for the project they preferred to work on. I love space engineers, but it would have been cool to see this game get the same love and care rather than abandoned almost entirely half way through early access. now they claim its finished when all they did was slap a sticker on it saying it is released after a year of almost complete inactivity of updates.

8.5/10
As of writing this review i have about an hour of game play logged.
I really like this game because "pros":
It's challenging in the way it plays in a non artificial or forced way.
Theres malleability in the build you choose to some degree, as theres three major stat traits that lead to skills.
It functions like dark soul's bonfires, if you die twice without getting your exp back you lose it for good.
The progression feels natural throughout the maps, its not blunt in where to go and is fun to explore and you can find extra urns of exp which give you a great boost towards level ups.
I already mentioned the combat but i cannot stress enough that it is some of the most fun ive had since the souls/born series and its not even similar enough to those to make it feel tired or old; they really freshened the mechanics up for first person gameplay.
You can get a skill to throw heads at people for example, and how fluid you can use it in combat is truly impressive to say the least.
If dark souls was played at the pace of doom in first person, but still its own unique game this would be that game.
Cons: The few
I always like upgrading weapons and choosing my loadout kind of thing like in souls games, this gives you options you unlock through progression, however they are more like tools than weapons so its debatable this is even a "con" to it as every weapon has it's place.
This is another con that could be good or bad, the parry window is incredibly small. It ups the ante for accuracy and concise gameplay however it can be rage inducing. I like the challenge so i consider this less of a con and more of a neutral point that will likely grow on me.

In conclusion, i reccomend this game to anyone who enjoys a challenge, doubly so to those who enjoyed souls games or doom and enjoy challenging and rewarding gameplay. Considering the budget this was done on i'm thoroughly amazed with the quality of gameplay and can only imagine what this awesome company will do in the future.
8.5/10, will be playing and replaying on a harder difficulty
