Y'know Death Stranding is actually a lot of fun if you get past the nonsense story. It's basically like a very polished and mechanically fun Euro Truck Simulator game on foot, you should give it a try!

Question, suppose you and Jack are playing in a fictional multiplayer game of X-Com 2 where Jack controls the 4-6 man squad while Rich controls all the aliens from the map (Rich chooses which aliens will appear on the map as well as how many spawn at any given time). However, each of Jack's squadmates have the equivalent strength and power of Doom Guy. Given Rich's tactical skills in X-Com 2 and Jack having 4-6 Doom Guys, who would win in the fight? Just curious what the outcome would be.

The sword does more damage, unless shotgun crits, and with tough lategame enemies and combined with lategame sword tech and blademaster it makes it viable though. Unless you savescum to shotgun crit, sword is just more bang for your buck and you can run back to cover if you've got the perk. It provides more risk for better reward, considering the chance you'll get your weapon disabled, not enough AP to shoot, not enough of a good percent due to cover and all that jazz.

Not to mention you can slice through walls to hilarious effect.

And it's still better than revolver snipers.

Furthermore, for the sword to be effective you usually need another soldier to weaken an enemy first so it's health is low enough for the stupid sword to be able to land a killing blow, the shotgunner can kill just fine all on hos own. If you want to just clean up half dead and weakened trash then a sniper with serial is far safer and more effective than reaper. Which I would never take over Rapid Fire (which makes strong enemies dead) unless I were just playing around with a "ninja" for fun.

It's amazing how frequently the lousy sword at any level leaves it's target still alive with your ranger flanked and doomed (as untouchable won't be active if the sword, as it very frequently does, fails to kill the target)

Shotgun + Rapid Fire + Laser scope = Dead aliens. Thword = enemy still alive with one health point, and a soldier who is completely flanked and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ next turn.

Thords synergize with late skills (and gear) that give you guaranteed evade from any damage and additional action after slicing. One thord in the team is pretty viable.

Kung Fu Chaos is a perfect party game for you guys. It is a 3d party fighting game (also has chalanges) in which you make a 70's kung fu movie. It is very funny and constantly breaks the 4th wall. The only downside is that it is exclusive to the 1st xbox. And also the gameplay vids dont do its justice. Anyway, have fun you hacks.
