Played through half of the first mission, and that's all it took for me to refund. If you're a long-time fan of Serious Sam games, this is absolutely not for you.

Everything you knew and loved has been essentially zoomer-ified. Tons of bright waypoint markers, constant handholding, 400 things in the HUD that don't matter at all, severe lack of secrets (actually got punished for looking for secrets by getting stuck in an area that softlocked me), all types of pickups (health/armor/ammo) have had the soul ripped from them and are now boring, color-washed, but highlighted mundane objects, if you're playing co-op, bullets have player collision and will constantly get you killed because of the hilariously large explosion hitboxes, added sprinting for literally no reason whatsoever, and for some reason they decided Serious Sam needed perks?

Do yourself a favor, just reinstall an old Call of Duty game and go play Zombies. This ain't Serious Sam anymore.

Edit: Also, we played 2-player co-op on Hard and it was an absolute cakewalk. No difficulty whatsoever.

Horrible, horrible performance.
- Lowest settings, resolution, set to high priority in task manager, even tried messing with .ini settings and it still dips under 15 fps constantly. When there's a simple fire effect on-screen, it manages to go under 10 fps in some scenarios.
- Has the occasional crash while trying to open inventory in the hub world.
- About 90% of the time, the game stops responding when attempting to quit from the menu, only solution is to end it via task manager.

Terrible multiplayer services.
- Occasionally get an infinite loading screen when loading into a match. While it shows you're still loading into the match, the match will actually have already started and the game replaces you with a bot until it finds someone else to take it's place. Only fix for this seems to be to Alt+F4 the game. Definitely not great when playing with friends, because then they have to leave and find a new match after inviting you again.
- You do have the option to rejoin a match if you happen to get disconnected, however they give you little to no time to actually relaunch the game and get back in before they replace you with someone else.
- Not sure how they messed this one up, but there's constant rubber banding in the hub world, as well. Definitely makes walking from station to station a chore, since you can no longer access these stations from the Esc menu like you could in Vermintide.
- No private lobbies, despite bots being fully functional and in the game.

Business before gameplay.
- DLC that costs MORE than HALF the base game, before the game even released.
- Crafting hasn't even been fully implemented into the game, because they'd much rather have that cash shop with the "fear of missing out" tactic where things switch out every 10 days to take more of your money.
- Predatory tactics with the currency packs, as they come in offset amounts. Example: Bundles cost 2,400 Aquilas, however there are only Aquila bundles for 2,100 (currently priced at 9.99 USD) and 4,500 (currently priced at 19.99 USD). Meaning you would have to buy at least 2 packs just to afford one bundle. Which will always end up leaving you with some left over, further pressing you to spend more since you already have some left over, anyways.

The only upsides I can think of currently, are that the soundtrack was really good and when the game decided to run at at least a 30-ish fps, the melee combat felt pretty nice!

However, absolutely wouldn't recommend until they manage to optimize their game and add the rest of the content they promised.
