The best way I can describe this in short: Slay the Spire x Darkest Dungeon... but every party member has their own deck of cards.

I can see this becoming the thing I boot up after work for the next decade.

Notable features:
4 PLAYER CO OP (YESSSS)
Starting a new run with the ability modify decks feels incredible. I'm not limited to seeing the same cards every start of the run.
Failing or Winning a run can give resources for the next one (and it's optional to take!).
Cards are upgradeable in different ways.
Equipment and cards both have rare chances to come in as better versions of themselves.
Enemies are interesting both in attacks and themes
Combat feels fun and super interactive
Can save anytime (Useful because the game is just packed with content)

Downsides(?):
A run takes 5 hours

Hands down the best couch co-op game I've played in the last few years.

Single player has the challenge arcade and Online Matchmaking to kill time until your buddies come over to play some Duck Game.

There are tons of little mechanics in the game. Here are some:
- Pressing up + an action button next to a table flips it to block bullets
- Guns on fire shoot on their own
- The pitch of the Quack can be changed by pressing the left trigger on a controller

10/10 Would quack again.

Let me start off by saying that Nuclear Throne is by far the most fun I've had with a game like this. The difficulty is just right; as soon as you start giving up, you get somewhere/something you've never gotten before.
You should honestly try this game.

Very fun rogue-like game that has a surprise for you at every turn. Fun, exciting, and hard.

I can't count how many times I've started a new run.

There's no reason for you not to have this game already.

Journey's End Update can't come any sooner
