You know when you walk into a store and there's that one guy who just looks like he's there to fill the emptiness? I'm that guy.

I started playing Counter-Strike: Source before I played the original Counter-Strike, and I love them both, so there will be none of that "Which is better" Argument here.
Counter-Strike: Source is the "sequel" (Remake, if you will) of Counter-Strike, and keeps all those LAN party memories with you. Counter-Strike: Source (Lets put it at the easier way, CS:S) is a deathmatch/ Team deathmatch game where you have The Counter Terrorists face off against the Terrorists in a battle of skill. The objective is to either kill all the Terrorists/ Counter Terrorists, or Disarm/Plant & Detonate the C4, in a series of rounds. CS:S is an "Easy-To-Learn, Lifetime-to-Master" game, and that's what keeps you playing. CS:S is a great game to battle your friends or just waste time in. Definitely a must have game.

Half-Life 2 is one of the best games I have ever played in my entire life. Half-Life 2 gave me one of those feelings of mystery and fear. For an older game (Not too old), It realy captures what most modern FPS's are lacking. Story & Feeling. I really felt like Dr.Freeman himself, traversing around the world, to rid of Dr.Breen and the combine, and when you get to certain parts (I'm not going to spoil anything) such as Ravenholm, you really feel fear for that poor town. Half-Life 2 is such a greatly made game as well, the controls feel nice and you have no issues moving around and the controls are simple and they work great. The vehicles control fine, and any segments including them dont feel like a chore and more like another great part of the game. This game is a long one too, which makes it better.
This game is a work of art. That too, the visuals look fantastic, gives you an apoc. feel.
Half-Life 2 is one of those games you just can't avoid playing.
This is what Video games are. Not teachers of violence,

Following the greatness that is Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas is one you should certainly purchase. The Fallout series does a great job at combining the Action - RPG - FPS genres, and New Vegas is no exception. I have many hours put into this game, it has much replayability (Adds to a con, the game does "end"), and there's plenty of sidequests and areas to explore. Fallout: New Vegas is a great game if you loved the wonder of Fallout 3, but some say it lacks Fallout 3s "feeling". Even with that said, you should still get this game.
