Definitely recommend. Like Vermintide, it will take some time to get a lot of the features people are looking forward to, but the core gameplay loop is fun and satisfying. Leveling is rewarding and the different amount of builds for each character makes experimenting a lot of fun.

The only real downsides are the lack of unique enemies, seems like every game i run into the same enemies, whereas I would enjoy maybe one mission having Chaos enemies with others focusing on insurgents or tyranids or something. 40k is a huge universe and allows for a lot of creativity. My hope is eventually we will see more unique enemies, abilities, and weapons. The real problem with a lot of 40k games is they limit themselves to just telling one story of the 1000s that exist.

Despite this the gameplay is super fun for each class, I think the negative reviews mostly come from a lack of starting content and a focus on how the game differs from vermintide. But people need to remember how many years of content Vermintide 1 and 2 have going for them.
