You're playing as a wizard capable of wielding 4 types of magical weapons:
- wand, the basic weapon which can be upgraded using the right perks
- spellbooks
- staffs
- different kinds of alchemy weapons
Also, sometimes you can find usable amulets. The usage of those should be timed as they need to recharge for another use.

Every level is different, the rooms you enter will also be different. You can enter rooms that will give you an advantage or a dissavantage. Depending on your style, you can costumise your character on every level up with a perk.
As in any roguelike game it has replayabilty value, you can unlock different weapons, amulets, perks, characters depending on how good you did on that

I strongly recommend Ziggurat to roguelike fans, it's worth the time.

Counter strike 1.6, one of the games i played the most that's for sure. From my own experience, as most of the gamaes, counter strike is best played in team, with friends, it makes things more fun and interesting. But you can have fun playing alone too ofcourse, just not as much (only my opinion here). It may be annoying in the beginning, but as you start to get the hang of it you'll start to enjoy it too.
