This is an underrated indie gem that deserves to stand out among the crowd. As someone who's played Retro City Rampage in the past, this game plays a bit differently from that game, but I personally think this game is a lot more fun than the former. It has it's own unique mechanics that make it stand out, and is an overall stand-out title in terms of pixel art. There's few indie games I can think of that have such gorgeous pixel art.

The writing of the characters may be a bit on the nose, but I think the absurdist angle taken here adds to the charm. The story does get a bit repetitive unfortunately, but that's just a minor blemish on an all around fun game.

Pretty faithful remake of the original PS2 classic, the game plays pretty much the same, though I swear this version is a little bit easier than the original. Might just be because I'm more used to the mechanics since I replayed a little bit of it recently before this re-release.
The only thing I'm not huge on is the new announcer, but I'm sure someone might come along to make mods to replace it w/ the PS2 originals, and maybe make a music pack for the US and Europe soundtracks, since this uses the Japanese soundtrack as it's base. Also, the HUD isn't as pretty.
Can't speak for the VR mode though, since I don't have any VR headsets myself. I can say this does work on the Steam Deck, but only with GE-Proton, because this uses video files that don't work with regular Proton! (if the game devs are reading this, change the video codec to one that works on the steam deck, it runs amazing otherwise!)

This is my third edit to this review, made after playing The Noise update! First two paragraphs are the same as my original review, made after 101%ing the game as Peppino.

This is a masterclass of platforming that is a shining example of the good of speedy platforming, and the good of unique mechanics from other games like Wario Land 4. Each and every level feels fresh and varied, with the only repeat level theme being a cool twisted revisit. The core of the game is about replayability, and it shows. Many secrets to find, interesting ways to find the treasure, and having to do all that and more to get an S-Rank, and the coveted P-Rank.

You can easily beat the game in under 7 hours on your first playthrough, but you'll be wanting to come back for more. And there is a lot, lot more you can do. Going for 101% and going for all the clothes is a very fun challenge indeed, making you push your limits on your platforming ability, but never demanding pure perfection from the player. The difficulty of going for a P-Rank is in a sweet spot for almost all levels (minus gnome forest, screw that level and only that level), where you don't need to be perfect in all spots in the level, you just need to be consistent enough to pull it off.

And now, for my discussion on The Noise: Fantastic update. Spent a good 18-19 hours playing this update, and The Noise adds a fresh new flavor that made me love the game all over again, and I went and 101%'d the game yet again. There are so many twists to the gameplay that keeps you on your toes, and many surprises that twist your expectations of the game after playing as Peppino, many gags that play out that mess with you.

I haven't gotten all the clothes yet as The Noise, since one of the challenges is very, very hard, probably too hard for me to want to try, but everything else about the update I've gone through and I've enjoyed to the fullest extent. If you've played Pizza Tower already, get back in, this update is well worth it. And if you haven't gotten it, well, you'll easily extend your playtime two-fold with The Noise.

This is a great, fun game that serves quick enjoyable fun, and puts a twist on the original Pac-Man formula in a closer way to the original than Pac-Man Championship Edition DX did.

Although this was originally released on mobile, this version is far superior, since you can actually use physical buttons on a controller (or keyboard) instead of "wherearemydamnfingers" touchscreen controls.

Also, no microtransactions. Which is a good thing.

This is an absolutely /amazing/ game. It has gorgeous visuals, great controls using an Xbox One controller (it has support for showing PS4 buttons too!), and is a challengeing yet fair game. The game also rewards players who like to check for secrets, giving items such as upgrade modules and medkits.

The atmosphere of this game is stunning, with the story being told with dialogue not being conveyed through text or voice, and a few cutscenes explaining events going on.

This is a must buy game, and it's recommended you go in without any form of spoilers. But even if you are spoiled by what's going to happen in the game, the gameplay itself is without a doubt worth it, having amazing sword and gun play that requires strategic yet quick thinking.

Absolutely great puzzle game, involving trying to keep a metro up and alive. It has many scenarios, and is simplistic in both art-style and gameplay. I always keep coming back for more of this game every now and then.

If you like management type of games, you'll love this. And even if you're not good with management games, this game will still be loads of fun!
