This game is well-made and highly polished in terms of game input controls. The puzzles are at the right level between challenging and novice-levels of difficulty. With the addition of multi-player capabilities, this game gives several hours of entertainment and the base-building capabilities are a nice bonus.

-Try to talk in any other language, a CM ( Chat Moderator) will warn, mute or ban you.
-The intro says that you are free to do what you want with the world, but that is under the discretion of the GMs. The GM's have a "play nice" rule: but what it really means is if they just do not like you, they can harass you.

F.Y.I. : 8 years of playing the non-steam version of the game.

This is a sandbox game. I will repeat this again: THIS IS A SANDBOX GAME. It may not have the beautiful graphics other games have but at least it will keep you entertained. Since you have a lot of choices on what to do in WU, the learning curve can be steep (ever tried building a house or a fence in real life? WU makes it 10x easier and faster). If you want a game that is immersive and a REAL SANDBOX game, WU is for you. If you want something less challenging, you can purchase and play the hundreds of games designed for 12-year-olds. The bonus part about WU is that you can make the game as chill or as eventful as possible: you can build, farm, breed animals, do spellcasting, mediate, pray, fish and craft items all day and not have a soul bother you or you can go out hunting and killing everything in sight. Or do both. WU is the sandbox game for adults.

Edit: I am forced to change my recommendation for this game because this game will no longer be fully supported. It has also been sold to a company that owns GAMBLING WEBSITES AND DEALS IN STEAM KEYS. Whether it is a result of the sale of the company or not, we players can not say. Even the developers of Wurm Unlimited bash their own game, saying it does not support Wurm. Since they have my $30 they can just cut and run.

I recommend this game. This is a puzzle game, but not the kind that gives you headaches or anxiety because it involves CATS ON TRAINS!!! Once you create a sequence of train tracks that match the color-coded cats, you can hear the satisfaction of cats meowing and floating out into space. The music is VERY familiar.
