The game itself seems nice enough and funny, but at least the Linux port is an unplayable, buggy mess. I tried playing it for about an hour and ran into multiple game-breaking issues (character getting stuck in the scenery, character not stopping to move, cutscenes that didn't start, etc.). Controller support is pretty bad, too. For example, after pressing the left trigger the camera starts to rotate permanently.

Very challenging and rewarding puzzle game.

Comparing this game with Hexcells is very much justified, as both games follow the same concept: You have to figure out which nodes (=cells) on the board belong to a pattern and which don't. New information may be uncovered in the process, allowing you to progress further. The puzzles are designed to be solved by pure reasoning, i.e. at any point there is at least one logical next step that can be deduced without guessing. Figuring out that next step may be very difficult, though.

Compared to Hexcells, this game is more complex and difficult. Nodes are not related simply by lying next to each other, but may be connected freely by edges. Some of the rules are rather complicated and may be confiusing at first, and the difficulty ramps up pretty quickly even during the tutorial. It took me well over 20 hours to perfect all included levels. The game includes Steam workshop support, but as of now there is virtually no user-generated content. The random level generator can create some pretty decent puzzles, though, when the parameters are properly tweaked.

Edit: One day after posting this the tutorial has been completely overhauled. Instead of throwing all game mechanics at you in the course of some 50 levels new concepts are now introduced gradually, one by one. This should make the game a bit more accessible to new users.

Fun little game with beautiful artwork! The game has a certain "Limbo" vibe to it: Silhouette main character, simplistic controls (left, right, jump, push/pull), environment puzzles and many, many deaths. It never gets overly frustrating because, except for a few sequences, checkpoints are never far apart.

Cons: The controls could be a bit tighter, and the game is pretty short for the full prize (2 to 3 hours playtime, including all achievements).

Fun little puzzle platformer with great artwork! You're commanding two robots with complementing abilities through some kind of futuristic facility. One robot can collect energy from the environment, the other can use that energy to blow stuff up. One can carry and stack boxes to help its heavier companion reach higher platforms.

The puzzles are all fairly straight-forward, and the required platforming skills are pretty moderate. Both won't give a practiced player much of a challenge. Even the optional collectible orbs are usually so obvious that I didn't miss a single one on my first play-through. I wish there would have been some more difficult levels. There are plenty of game elements that could have been used to design some fiendish puzzles.

This game is a brilliant addition to the Penumbra series. It's fan-made, but it might as well be an official sequel. It's very true to the original games, and it lets you revisit many locations from all three parts.

I don't really understand all the complaints about the voice acting. True, Philip has a strong accent, but he never speaks after the intro. The voice actors of Clarence and Amabel do a tremendous job and come pretty close to the original ones.
