A must play. As for a topdown pvp there are no other games like this and Battlerite.

The game itself is very well made from the technical point, and the train management is nice, but:

- it forces you to play battles the most boring way - stealth through all the map to find resources.
- the stealth itself is shallow. corpses just vanish. enemies don't notice their comrades disappear. they don't seek through the bushes for where you probably hide.
- and while it seems like a game with a focus on immersion, it's just impossible to believe the game when enemies are so dumb and forgetful

A lot of people are moaning that random unit cards are unfair and too random. But cards are actually the same for every player so, you just have to think about what your opponent may choose and counter it. Adds a bit of mind-game depth to it.

IMO it requires more polish and content. Feels like a publisher pushed the dev to release early. That's the exact feeling I had from Cult Of The Lamb when it was released (also published by Devolver). Will get back to check for updates in the future.

You may get confused by the viscosity of the controls. They require some adaptation, and some time to learn the hitboxes and hit delays. However, I believe this is not a bad thing. Not every game should be an arcade, right?

Anyhow, it's a well-made game and definitely worth a try, especially considering it's free.

An interesting game that doesn't respect players' time. A lot of alike fights followed by a few unique ones, at which you'll likely fail because you don't know the enemies yet. So you die you learn your lesson, and you go for the same ride just to play the boss\miniboss fight differently.

Again, you'll fail not because your setup is bad, but because of a boss's surprise behaviour. A lot of games let you just restart the boss fight, but this one makes you grind all the way from the start.

Devs, plz add a "replay miniboss\boss" option (permadeath toggle) in settings.

Great game but very low on content. Add it to your wishlist and wait for content updates.
