This game is a shallow and reductive clone of satisfactory/factorio. It's main spin on the genre, the destructible voxel world, fails to sufficiently differentiate the game from its competitors. The handcrafted world of Satisfactory is what made that game work, the empty lifeless voxel world here lacks the charm and mystery that Satisfactory brought to the genre. On the automation side, it again fails to offer anything new to the genre -- it simply copies most of the early-game Factorio progression while lacking the more interesting elements that make Factorio work throughout the progression, and entirely failing to deliver any super exciting end-game technology that drives you to progress.

I was hoping this game would leverage the voxel world more to differentiate itself from its influences, but ultimately the game feels like a pointless imitation of the two games that completely fails to innovate or push the genre forward in any way.

It definitely has a lot of issues. It's not a strong recommend, but if you are a die-hard tarkov player and want to try something different, then I recommend it. Definitely a fun distraction, but needs years of work to really recommend to non-tarkov audience.

Game starts strong but after it's shown its hand you learn that its a pale imitation of a real souls game. Bosses are far too easy and ranged enemy placement is far too annoying. Final boss fight is the worst ending I've ever played in a game. I wish I could recommend this because the Umbral/Axiom gimmick is cool, albeit underutilized, and overall game-feel is solid. Sadly the game just makes a few too many poor decisions to be worth your time.

They finally turned the game around. Ignore the current mixed reviews, they're mostly from before season 3. With the current season, the majority of the game's issues were fixed and it's actually quite worth playing.

Difficulty balancing is atrocious and the enemy variety is significantly lacking. Enemies lack proper telegraphing for their attacks. Different stages are just reskins of each other with little functional differences between the three areas. Right now, this is just a meme game. Could be good in a few years if they actually stick with it.

Fun while it lasts and doesn't overstay its welcome. The game tries to push you towards talking to every follower every day to boost their loyalty, which has a long animation and feels like it wastes your time. But if you break that habit, you can still move through the game totally fine and it's far more fun. Aside from that, it does respect your time a lot more than many city-builder games and also more than most roguelikes.

The game seems interesting but it's completely broken on Index controllers. It will not correctly respect the direction you're facing, despite using headset-oriented movement. If you hold backwards to strafe backwards, at random points you will end up walking forward, without changing your input at all. Horribly disorienting and broken, makes an interesting game nearly unplayable.

Absolutely terrifying, and surprisingly polished. One of the best, if not the single best, asymmetric VR games.

If you have any interest in speedrunning, or even movement shooters at large, this game will be like crack for you. Highly addicting and infinitely replayable, with a great community as well.
