Feels like a full sized new left4dead game.
The melee weapons seems to be improved from the beta and most of my successful runs has someone who specializes in it.
There are still issues. If you bring bots they seem to get stuck on every object in the game, one particular location from a porch they often refuse to jump down and at least one dies every time. The bots will teleport to your location because they can’t track you without getting stuck...
There seems to be bad match making. I had to enable playing with console players to get a match. Also when my team left in the campaign they were never replaced with humans.
Typically I play with friends which lets you avert many of the problems. The sound design is top notch, the gunplay feels satisfying and if you are looking for a co-op shooter it’s so much fun with friends.

I would highly recommend this game. It has vast replay potential because of how unique each region, religion, and individual character feel. I could describe each play-through and the associated personalities, pitfalls and problems that made the game so memorable. The game provides moments that feel so unique! With that being said. I do wish that you had a better way to pass down the memory of your legacy. You can improve your family name and provide benefits to your family as a whole, but it feels like it doesn't provide enough of a social remembrance for the forbearers (Norse had a memorial rock they did, but it is brief). Some interactions come down to the same worded choices, such as a high tier 50 gold physician, or an enthusiastic one for 13 gold. That said, I am not worried about these small issues as the community support with mods, and the developer passion to add more content will help define our experiences as the problems start to come into focus after hundreds of hours of play.
I did not get into CK2 and loved CK3, because I was able to get over the learning curve in 3. Most of the confusing menus were simplified visually. The menus provide text inside of text info that pop ups in as much further details as you need to learn the stats and situations as you encounter them. The tutorial is bare bones as it teaches you to learn for yourself and shows mostly how to navigate to menus. With the in game help menus I did not have to leave the game to figure out how to play.
I used multiplayer to both make the game easier as both of us were able to manage the realm together, and more chaotic with more secret assassinations (There is an option where you can prevent players from killing other player families). Multiplayer is easy to join, from the escape menu you just copy the invite code to send to your friends, or join a created room. On the top right you can click the scroll icon to toggle between players in the match, you can also add other families to that same shortcut.
It is one of those games that you can't help but talk about the minutia, as it is so engaging. I have never played a strategy game before this, and if you are intimidated by the genre I hope that you will make it past the first couple hours (despite not knowing everything that is happening) so you can enjoy what this game has to offer.
