As it stands Skyrim is still a wonderful experience! I love this game to my core clocking in thousands of hours across my PS3 and PC as well as just as many hours modding the system. I was completely disheartened by this though, I made it through the intro and out into the openess of the world and this is where is usually check my mods for graphical clearness.

If a mod is not doing well or does not meet my standards of what it should be I remove it. This will usually be a quick look of riverwood, whiterun, etc...via console commands. I was honestly completely excited for this remastered version, I had hoped that the game would be more stable (which according to my scripts it SEEMS to be [more testing is required]). The alt+tab feature was a nice and much needed addition, but aside from that I was honestly disappointed.

Now let me explain my reasoning before you downvote me, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and if you do not have skyrim or never have played it I still strongly recommend you buy it. As it stands right now modding is not great, but it is not the worst. There is a number of mods that work with the new remastered skyrim right out of the gate, however there is still a fair number that do not. What is worse there is a number of mod authors that have no plan to update the mod which means that some of your favorite mods will simply not be coming.

However I still love Skyrim through and through and if you need an excuse to spend countless hours in a game I would strongly suggest taking another go. However keep those mods handy there is still a massive amount of textures and graphics that need modding to look even somewhat presentable...Now if you will excuse me I need to go download the unofficial skyrim patch, mainly because bethesda could not be bothered. :/
