This game is missing a lot of what was promised.

That being said, it is still fun.

Noteworthy things:
-You are introduced to mechanics that you will never use after they are introduced.
-You are never introduced to vital mechanics of the game and their nuances (Elven vs Dwarven vs Venworth vs Battal enhancements)
-The story falls flat, as no character truly holds weight in storytelling. No one lives up to their story or even comes close to a sort of closure. The story has no start, it has some middle to it and no ending.
-Map is a vast collection of long corridors, filled with goblins, harpies and saurians. If you like fighting the same enemy but different taste, you`ll have fun exploring.
-Dungeons are actually fun, too bad they are so hard to find that the rarest achievement is find 50 dungeons.
-No online content. If you are expecting an Ur-Dragon type combat, I'm sorry to say it is not there.
-Following up last point: there`s no point to NG+. You are overlevelled by the end of the NG and you walk into NG+ one-hitting everything you see. The only enemies that might challenge you are those with hk mechanics, and there's only 1.

I wanted this game to be amazing. I wanted it to truly, as the director put it, be a complete experience.
Unfortunately, it is a shell of what it could have been once again.

Combat with actual big enemies is fun though, feels like medieval Monster Hunter minus all the grind.

I would give it a neutral, but since there's not neutral, it deserves a negative.

SIlksong is collective insanity.

In reality it was always Hollow Knight.

There is no war in Ba Sing Se.

This game makes me want to play Wakfu or Dofus, but it fails to reach the fun that Wakfu or Dofus were.

Simply put, I am now downloading Wakfu in hopes this game is a ploy to make more people play Wakfu.

you know when you die in an FPS to something stupid and you think: "wow, this sucks, I can make something better than this".

well, the devs of battlebit actually did it.

This is it. They did away with base management, kept the roguelike, added roguelite mechanics. Combat is almost the same, but BETTER. The game is NOT Darkest Dungeon 1. It is more like FTL. If you've been waiting for a successor to FTL, this is it. The art visuals are insane, the difficulty is on par if not more difficult than 1, and it is FUN.

The only con I'd give it is the item management, it is a bit weird to get used to. Make sure you abuse Inn Items and equip combat items.

the learning curve for the designer and the camera is a cliff

the camera feels like it was designed specifically for rockets

all I wanted was a follow cam that didn't spin everything around.

do not buy if afraid of bugs, I had to set up a monstrosity and call that a propeller just to get some thrust going.

game is amazing

file downloading is atrocious

no auto-updates, no big file download available, you have to sit through while the launcher runs a for loop for each file the game has which downloads the file, decompresses the file, prints "Please wait"

a beginner CS student could have written this launcher
